Description
Over the past one-decade PT has been supporting Primary housing co-operatives as platforms for resource mobilization towards the realization of adequate housing for its membership. The cooperative societies have over the years been able to acquire parcels of land for housing to its membership.
It’s for this noble course that PT Intends to acquire the services of an Architectural intern to support the community towards developing best-fit housing designs for the co-operatives. The Architectural Intern shall work under the direct supervision of the Programs Manager. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Convene community house dreaming sessions to collect and collate data to inform technical designs.
- In consultation with the Consultant develop housing designs/neighbourhood plans.
- Offer technical advisory/guidance to Primary Housing Co-operatives towards housing development.
- Liaise with the consultant to facilitate the necessary approval of relevant designs and associated documents.
Qualifications. - The ideal candidate must possess a diploma in Architectural studies or a continuing Bachelor’s student in their fifth year of academic studies.
- Must possess good communication skills and be fluent in Swahili language.
