TRAINING – ‘Utafiti Sera’ on Urban Governance and City Transformation, Kenya

2nd April – 3rd April 2025

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE TO ENHANCE EVIDENCE UPTAKE IN INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN KENYA

This initiative will convene approximately 32 key stakeholders, primarily engineers from the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), along with representatives from the Urban Governance House.

Over the course of two days, participants will engage in interactive group work, plenary discussions, and brainstorming sessions to facilitate cross-learning and the exchange of best practices. These collaborative sessions aim to equip engineers with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate robust social safeguards into their infrastructure planning and execution processes.

By strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing social considerations in feasibility studies, this initiative seeks to drive more inclusive, responsible, and human-centered infrastructure development in Kenya.
